Smith House #1 (316 3rd Ave. SW)
This two-story house is built of reddish-orange soft mud bricks manufactured locally on a foundation made of limestone quarried locally. There are two additions on the rear that are late 19th century in construction, were built using the same type of locally-manufactured soft mud bricks, and have foundations made of locally-quarried limestone.
At least one of these additions had a commercial use in the late 19th century, with a former outbuilding on the property serving as a carpenter shop.
