Pleasant Hill School photo was donated by Virgil Crofter. The school was on the southside of Ivanhoe Road off the Dvorak or Jilovec farm. The one-room schoolhouse was heated by one wood stove in the middle of the room. In the winter when it was real cold we sat around the stove. The teacher Martha Bartosh came in 20 below zero weather to start a fire. We went to school at 9:00 A.M. and got out at 4 P.M.
