Standard Gasoline Station at Ivanhoe. There was an old store at the SE corner of Ivanhoe and Highway 1. It was also a Standard Gasoline Station after automobiles became popular. We children liked to buy candy at the store. There was an outhouse out back for the travelers. To the east of the store was a sawmill. Farmers bought their logs in. Herman Piper ran the sawmill. He cut the logs into timbers. Farmers could get lumber to repair their barns, and build anything they needed using their own timber but paying him for sawing it.
