Edgar Brackett was born on July, 30 1853 in Wilton, New York. He moved to Mount Vernon in 1860 with his parents, William and Elisabeth Brackett. Edgar lived in Brackett House and attended Cornell College. In 1872, he moved to Saratoga Springs, New York, where he practiced law. He became a state senator in 1895. He supported the protection of people and individuals. Edgar founded the Saratoga Springs Chamber of Commerce. He was married to Emma Corliss, and they had a son, Charles Brackett. Edgar died February 27th, 1924.
