1910 – Glass Negatives – Decoration Day – Women in white and several men sit at a cemetery with a small building, cars, and a large tree in the background.

Decoration Day was a time when people would come to place flowers at the gravesites of veterans. It is now known as Memorial Day.

This photograph is part of a collection of glass negatives showing scenes from Mount Vernon’s early history. These negatives were donated by Joe and Gloria Burkart of Crestview, Florida.
